Why I love rainy days.

It’s raining cats and dogs today. Unlike most everyone I know, I love this kind of weather. Takes the pressure off all the “shoulds”. Many plans get undone because of the rain, which forces all of us to just be in a place of accepting whatever is.

Some of my fondest childhood memories are of rainy days. Days when we had arranged for certain outdoor activities and then rain came along and “ruined” our plans, but instead of letting that dampen our spirits, we’d either make up fun and games indoors, or put on our rubber boots and go play outside in the rain, while the rest of the world stayed in for fear of getting wet.
